Where are you from?
I was born in Lima, Peru. I have been living in Seville for roughly the past three years, but now I am in Madrid to study in the UCM. I have the habit of comparing and contrasting the idiosyncrasy of the three.
How old are you?
I am 18 years old, but I feel as though my life had truly began when I turned 14. However, I feel quite old for only having lived 18 years.
What do you study?
Although I had previously leaned towards a degree in English Literature, I decided to study General and Comparative Literature in the UCM, since it offers a broader program that is more suitable for my varied interests.
What is your favorite book?
Probably Fictions (or Ficciones in Spanish) by Jorge Luis Borges. In school, we had to read some of his stories. The first one we read was “The South,” and since then, the short stories that make up that collection have not ceased to fascinate me.
What is your favorite film?
Currently, Eraserhead by David Lynch, but this constantly changes. I am trying to convince my friends to go watch it. I also watch Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky every now and then. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I loved the silent and paused sensation the director gave to certain scenes.
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and mroe temperate.
